Objective Of S.G.F - AP

To encourage, promote and popularize all recognized Olympic, Asian, Commonwealth, and regional level games & sports among school boys & girls of Andhra Pradesh.
To work for the physical welfare and overall development of school students in Andhra Pradesh.
To coordinate and encourage all activities related to school games and sports within the state and at national events.
To hold district, state, and inter-state sports meets and trial matches for school boys and girls, and to award certificates and prizes for state-level school competitions.
To ensure adequate participation of school students from Andhra Pradesh in national contests organized by SGFI or other recognized bodies.
To organize coaching, training, and refresher courses for the promotion and improvement of sports and games.
To enhance the quality of school athletes through special coaching camps for those selected to participate in national and international events.
To provide a platform for budding players to showcase their talent, improve performance through technical guidance, secure financial support, and maintain continuity in their sports development, in collaboration with the State Government.
To lay down rules and conditions for the registration of school players at all levels in Andhra Pradesh.
To define rules and regulations for affiliation of member schools with SGF-AP and ensure their proper functioning.
To seek recognition and collaboration with competent national and international sports bodies.
To invite school teams and officials for state and national events, and organize exchange programs or competitions with other states.
To represent SGF-AP in meetings and activities of national and Asian school sports federations.
To develop the character, discipline, and personality of school boys and girls through sports and physical education.
